More than 30 Chinese and foreign media visited the "strongest brain" of Beijing rail transit
(Summary description)The best way to learn about a city is to spend a few yuan to take the city's public transport.
If you have ever taken the Beijing subway, have you ever wondered how this huge and complex rail transit network works safely and efficiently? On October 17, the News Center of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) organized more than 30 Chinese and foreign media and nearly 50 reporters to enter the Beijing Rail Transit Command Center to explore the answers in the "brain" of the rail transit network center.

The best way to learn about a city is to spend a few yuan to take the city's public transport.

Tong Mei, spokesman of Beijing Rail Transit Command Center, introduced the development of Beijing rail transit. Zhao Pengfei, a special reporter, shot "It is not easy to achieve the scale of ten million people, extend to the surrounding areas, and be orderly. Beijing subway has a strong reference!" Ruan Bowen, a reporter from Guizhou Radio and Television Station, said when participating in the event that Guiyang, where he lives, is actively developing the subway, and Beijing's experience is of reference significance.
To build a subway is to build an underground city
At the Beijing Rail Transit Command Center, the road network diagram shows the operation status of all online trains. Each moving dot represents the running subway train. The train number, full load rate, and delay are clear at a glance. The system can also make real-time statistics of various train operation indicators. Once the train operation deviates from the plan, a red or yellow box will pop up above the corresponding small dot to prompt the dispatcher to pay attention and take traffic organization measures.

The daily passenger volume of Beijing subway reaches 12 million person-times, which is equivalent to 1 in 2 citizens taking the subway, forming a huge "underground city" of tens of millions.
Since the opening of the first subway line in 1969, after half a century of development, Beijing has built a safe, convenient, efficient and green rail transit system. Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, Beijing's urban rail transit operation lines have increased from 16 to 27, and the mileage has increased from 442 kilometers to 783 kilometers, covering 12 administrative regions and Yizhuang Economic Development Zone; The number of suburban railway routes within the city has increased from 1 to 4, and the mileage has increased from 73 kilometers to 365 kilometers. The total scale of Beijing rail transit network is 1148 kilometers, ranking first in the country. Today, rail transit accounts for 57% of Beijing's public transport trips.

Compared with car travel, one subway passenger can reduce carbon emissions by 77%. According to this calculation, Beijing subway can help reduce carbon emissions by 7.38 million tons a year, equivalent to 410 million trees and about 4 Amazon forests in total.
Network operation is super large, super strong and super complex
Tong Mei, a spokesman for the Beijing Rail Transit Command Center, said that passengers have increasingly high requirements for the connectivity, accessibility and service continuity of rail transit. At the same time, the unified coordination and organization of "leading the whole network" for emergencies has become an urgent need. On the eve of the opening of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, the Beijing Rail Transit Command Center was completed and put into operation, realizing unified monitoring, joint command and coordinated dispatching of the road network.
Liang Liang, deputy general manager of the Beijing Rail Transit Command Center, said that the Beijing subway has developed from single-line to multi-line to network operation, presenting the characteristics of super large, super strong and super complex network operation - "super large" is reflected in large scale and wide coverage; "Super strength" is reflected in the dense passenger flow and rapid growth; "Super complex" is reflected in the close connection between lines, with trains running along the line and passengers crossing the line; There are many transfer stations, transfer passenger flow accounts for a large proportion, and passenger travel logic is complex.
